POSCO supplies Thailand's Thainox Steel with hot rolled stainless steel sheets on long-term basis. POPSCO and Thainox signed MOU in Bangkok on August 5. The shipment will be effected from October. The long-term supply was proposed in June, according to POSCO. The MOU made possible the procurement of necessary HR stainless for Thainox cold rolled stainless capacity expansion and gave a chance to POSCO to sell its HR stainless in S. E. Asian market. Thainox has an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons of cold rolled stainless sheets.
