In response to Chinese safeguard measures, on May 29 the government officially proposed Chinese government to have bilateral negotiation soonest possible under WTO safeguard regulation 12-4. A staff of Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade said it would have a review on the procedure and formality of the safeguard measures whether those were in conformity with the WTO regulations.
